The Power Of Dominion

INTRODUCTION:

God’s intention for man is to reign in life, to rule and dominate his word, having control over any contrary circumstances. This was God’s pronouncement on Adam and though man fell: the redemption package includes the restoration of the power of dominion to mankind.

A.     What is Dominion?

            1.Dominion means to subjugate, to subdue, and to tread down.

            2.To rule, to decide events.

            3.To be in total control with the ability to maintain peace in ones domain by                                                                                  

‘                     reigning over all circumstances. 1Kings 4: 24 – 25

B.     Dominion is a Positional Right.

1.      God bless man and empower man to dominate.Gen.1: 28

2.      The psalmist confirmed that God made man to have dominion over all things. Psalms 8:6

3.      Part of the redemption package is the fact that we are positioned to reign.Rev.5: 10

C.     Arise and Shine

1.      For you to dominate you must arise both spiritually and physically, of course this is your decision as your power of will is put to work.

2.      To dominate: you need the illumination of the word of God.  Joshua 1: 8

3.      When God wanted light, he went for the word first. Gen.1: 3

4.      Light is what brings illumination. To recover at any time you first have to discover and to discover you need illumination; and illumination comes by the word of God. Is.60: 1

       D.           There are quite some things of importance which are prerequisites to                                       

                       dominating: these includes word-life, faith-life, love-life, holy-life, prayer-life

                       and giving-life. All this we shall discuss in the next letter.

E.     Life begins in Christ and not at forty.

            1. In Christ is life and only in his kind of life is light.(illumination and

                      understanding). John 1:4

                  2. Life eternal that God gave comes only through Christ Jesus. 1John 5:11

                  3.To begin reigning is to have Christ: for all power had been given unto him

                     alone, so dominate in life will mean you have to go first to him that has the

                     power over all things and that is Christ Jesus.

                 4.If your life is already in Christ then you have an advantage over to reign and to

                    rule ,so get ready this to rule and reign; to overcome and to decide event.
