The Prerequisites To Walking In Dominion

INTRODUCTION:

Dominion is a covenant right of every believer and as we walk in the light of this covenant with God and on the covenant pathway, it will amazed people around you how constantly your have your way through the issues of life that seem to weigh many down.

A.      In the last letter I mentioned six prerequisites to walking in dominion. These we shall discuss in details. This point must be looked at as not an absolute prescription for dominion but important key point in walking in covenant dominion. These point includes word life, faith life, love life, holy life, giving life and prayer life.

B.      Word Life

1.       The bible gives a good reason why we must live a word life.

2.       As believer is paramount that we live by the dictates of the word of God, living the word must be a way of life to the believer. Joshua 1:8,Matt 4:4

3.       The psalmist said “before I was afflicted I went astray from thy word: but now have I kept thy word” Psalms 119:67

4.       God revealed to Joshua that the secret to all round success is walking in 

the totality of the word of God. Joshua 1:8 

C.      Faith Life

1.       Faith is a necessary ingredient in possessing the promise. The word of God must be acted upon by faith to be able to live a life of dominion.Heb.4:2

2.       To dominate: you need the illumination of the word of God.  Joshua 1: 8

3.       In the study on the heroes of faith we are made to understand this men subdue through faith.Heb.11: 33

4.       There are three enemies of faith, Fear, Doubt and Unbelief. Fear and Doubt always contaminate faith while unbelief never allows faith a way in.

5.       No one ever walk with God in dominion outside of a faith filled life. Heb.

11:6

6.       God had to help Gideon get into faith before he could help him get into

The battlefield. Judges6: 11-24

7.       The sun will always stand still for men of faith to overcome. Joshua 10:12

8.       The just shall live by faith is the declaration of Jehovah to the saints. God

is a faith God, Jesus lived by faith, Paul likewise declared that we are involved in a fight of faith as a believer.

9.       Feed your faith by the word of God and your doubts will starve to death.

Romans 10:17

D.      Love Life

1.       He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even

until now.1John 2:9

2.       He that loveth abideth in the light {word} and there is no occasion of

Stumbling in him. 1 John 2: 10

3.       Required of every one walking in the faith life is also the love life as a

complimentary life style. Galatians 5:6

4.       You are commanded to love but before then the ability to live a love life

Had been given to you. You can choose to love regardless the situation

2 Corinth 5:14,Romans5: 5

5.       Faith in the love of God produces confidence required for answered

prayer.1 John5 :14 – 15

6.       God is a faith God; To walk in faith you must know God. Among

Everything God had revealed Himself as LOVE. So if you claimed to

Know God then you must know love.1 John 4:7- 13

E.       Holy Life

            1. God has called us to live a holy life.1 Thess4: 7,1Peter2: 5

                  2.  A life of holiness is a demonstration of the fear of God.2Corinth 7:1

                  3. Sin remains a reproach to any people.Prov.14:34

                  4. Sin is an enemy of grace. Romans 6:1    

                  5.Daniel purposed not to defile himself in any way. Daniel; 1:8

                  6. The holy life is the kingdom life style and we have been positioned for

                      holiness.

                  7.  Sin is what gives the devil an advantage to defeat us.

F.       Giving Life

1.Financial dominion is determined by your giving life.Gal.6: 7

2.Financial prosperity operates on seed principles and your giving is what starts

   the circle of prosperity. Mark 4:26-29, Luke 6:38

3.Sowing is not complete without tithing.Mal.3:8-12

4.Sowing must be done by divine leading and such leading is likewise required for

   harvest. Isaiah 28:23-29

G.      Prayer Life

1.How the bible defines prayer.

a. Aiteo = ask, desire, demand

b. Eratao = beseech, ask

c. Proseudiomai = worship, supplicate request

d. Deomai = to beg, petition, request

2.Your prayer life must be a daily consistent life style. 1Thess.5: 16-18

3.You can not pray outside of faith. Mark 11:24

4.The beauty of prayer is that God had already promised answer before you pray.

    James 5:13
